In Chinese tradition, the phoenix is the legendary bird reborn from its own ashes, a symbol of rebirth, renewal and good fortune, and each bar is individually serialised from a limited mintage of 18,888 – a number widely regarded as auspicious.

The bar's obverse captures the phoenix in dynamic, elegant motion, its flowing feathers rendered in fine relief above a wreath of stylised clouds, with a small Chinese seal mark set in the upper corner. The reverse carries PAMP's Suisse branding alongside “5 g Fine Gold 999.9” and the bar's individual serial number, engraved beneath a matching phoenix motif that echoes the design on the front.
