The 2026 2oz Australian Lunar III Horse Gold Coin from The Perth Mint is struck from 2 troy ounces of 99.99% pure gold and celebrates the seventh animal of the Chinese zodiac. The reverse depicts a spirited horse with elevated hooves set against a backdrop of mountains and grassland, accompanied by the Chinese character for 'Horse', the inscription 'HORSE 2026' and the Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark. The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III. The coin incorporates a micro-laser engraved authentication letter on the reverse, detectable only under magnification, and is issued as Australian legal tender with a face value of $200 AUD.
